Her journey in Christ began in 1980 at Lighthouse Missionary Church of Deliverance in Vine Grove, Kentucky, where she accepted Jesus Christ under the mentorship of Pastor Barbara A. Brown. From those early foundations, Dr. Simmons embraced her call to ministry as an evangelist, traveling throughout the United States and internationally, spreading a life-changing message of hope, freedom, and deliverance.

In 2003, she relocated to San Diego, California, where she faithfully served at Christ Temple Apostolic Church under Bishop Donnie N. McGriff Sr. In 2007, through divine direction, she founded Agape Deliverance Ministries, where she continues to lead with vision, compassion, and prophetic insight—empowering individuals to walk boldly in their God-given purpose.

Dr. Simmons is also an accomplished author of the transformative book “Help! I’ve Fallen – I Can’t Get Up,” a powerful call to rise above life’s struggles and experience true spiritual freedom. She further extends her reach through her impactful podcast, “Be Free with Dr. Chanda G & Lady D,” where she shares practical, Spirit-led teaching that inspires listeners to break free from bondage and live victoriously in Christ.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Simmons holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in counseling from Apostolic International University in El Cajon, California, where she has also served as an instructor—equipping others with both spiritual and practical tools for transformation. Her commitment to community extends beyond the pulpit; she is a graduate of the El Cajon Civilian Police Academy and actively partners with Standing in the Gap, a coalition of pastors working to build bridges between law enforcement and the community.

Above all, Dr. Simmons is a devoted mother to her daughters, Simone and Sheliea, and a proud grandmother to Kaleb Murray. Her heart for family and future generations is evident in her dedication to mentoring and raising up strong, purpose-driven leaders.

Dr. Chanda G. Simmons’ life is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and total surrender to God. Through her ministry, she continues to inspire, uplift, and lead others into a life of freedom, healing, and divine purpose.
